i'm a 1977 baby (you do the math) - happily married. ex-public servant who dreamt of being humphrey from yes, prime minister as a young lass so followed her dream to canberra. has the attention span of a gnat. doesn't use capitals as a tribute to e.e.cummings - yeah, right! (it's laziness combined with the knowledge that it's that extra key stroke that moves you closer to rsi.. trust me)

i mainly post about nothing. i'm sporadic in my postings. i turn to meme's in times of desperation. i'm a flamin hypercondriac. i've been overseas for the first time in july 2006 (thailand and singapore) and was convinced i was going to be abducted, falsely accused of smuggling drugs, get food poisoning so bad i wouldn't be able to fly back home and get a third degree sunburn all while butchering the thai language. (got the food poisoning and sunburn - thankfully no run in's with customs!)

i'm a backsliding presbyterian who constantly thinks of her faith but does nothing to nourish it. i have a killer appetite for anything highly preserved, enhanced with additives and bound to make me diabetic just by looking at it. i'm a total clutz. if you can trip over it, fall down it, break it or be impaled on it - i'll do it. i think exercise is a form of taxation.

i love anything to do with paper supplies. i scrapbook - so shoot me. i love my cameras. i love making icons. i start things and don't finish them. i read like a mad women. i read chick lit in secret and love it more then literature. i have a hidden collection of pop music that i keep stashed in the back room with my street cred music up the front of the house.

i'm a wanna be geek. i know nothing about computers, but i love my mac and my ipod. i rely on my husband to fix things when they're broken. i'm learning to use html and css but, its my little secret. i work(ed) in I&T, but i claim to not be able to spell it, let-a-lone understand it. i'm a slut for interior design. i don't want to buy my first home - i want to build it. i dream of a big lotto win. (i settled for easy on the first home and brought a brand new townhouse in december 2006)

it's on hold: in march 2007 we decided that the passive approach to trying to start a family isn't work so we're now actively trying to get pregnant. i'm shit scared about it. i'm excited about it like nothing before it. i'm worried about screwing up someone else's life. most of all i want it to happen now! well in to trying and we're having to go the IVF route - so we're currently in the process of being approved for adoption and foster care. what can i say, my body won the battle - but not the war!

i'm nothing without my spell checker. i love my life, my family, my friends, my messed up mutts, my teddy bear and my husband. i rant and rave and talk about nothing in particular. if this sounds like a journey you'd like in on, drop me a line and i'll friend you.
